PSA Group-owned retail group Robins and Day have celebrated the opening of a new tri-brand store in Manchester.
After adding Citroen and DS to it’s existing Peugeot site in Manchester, Robins and Day made the choice to open the multiple-brand store which sits on a 2.25-acre site at the end of the M602. It has undergone a £3m refurbishment to accommodate the 2 new brands in the three-showroom facility. It features a 17-bay workshop which is supported by an off-site PDI department and parts hub.
The regional operations manager and former general manager of the Robins and Day site, Paul Keaveney said: “Peugeot have been in this city for a long time, opening in Deansgate back in 1908 gives the site a great heritage.”
This site opening comes 2 months after Robins and Day added a DS Automobiles store in Manchester which gained them the title of the “largest dedicated DS store in the North West”.
PSA Group-owned group said that the store, which is located on Windsor Street in Salford, is able to display six vehicles and customers that visit the site can make use of bespoke leather seating, air-con and enjoy a DS scent diffuser.
Owned by Robins and Day’s chief executive James Weston, the tri-store showroom was opened with Peugeot UK’s managing director, David Peel and Citroen UK’s managing director, Bek Hassan.
James Weston commented: “This is our largest development to date and is a great addition to the group, coming after we launched our new site in Liverpool last week. We are also undergoing the redevelopment of 3 other sites and will be starting another 4 very soon. The company has clear goals set and we aim to combine these with the beliefs and passions of our team. I’m sure that the dedication from the employs of Robins and Day Manchester will continue in this exceptional new site.”
